Since October 2012, 313 IT apprenticeships have been created through a partnership between the National Skills Academy for IT, training provider NITP and BT.

The apprenticeships are all piloting the IT Gold Standard Apprenticeship designed to help recruits gain technical and profession skills in the workplace quickly.  During their training, those taking part are also involved in trialling a personal development experience which will include a virtual campus and employer-supported events.  The partnership has also received co-investment from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills via the Growth and Innovation Fund.
