Good news for all healthcare agency workers, you can now be assured that your mandatory and statutory core skills training is 100% recognised by Skills for Health and agencies nationwide, and is verified for the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF).
Skills for Health have released a list of commercial training suppliers in the UK. Since the beginning of 2016, Skills for Health have developed a new quality assurance and verification process for commercial organisations aligning their skills training content to the CSTF. This directory is now available to all purchasers, agency staff and procurement authorities through the Skills for Health website.
As stated on their news bulletin released on June 30th 2016, ‘Skills for Health cannot stress enough that it is incumbent upon purchasers and procurement authorities to seek sufficient evidence to satisfy themselves as to the quality and accuracy of such training programmes. Again, purchasers and procurement authorities should not ask training providers to confirm if their training “aligns with Skills for Health” but rather seek confirmation of alignment with the Core Skills Training Framework or Care Certificate and appropriate evidence.’ This can be found through the following link: http://www.skillsforhealth.org.uk/services/item/146-core-skills-training-framework
All healthcare agency staff can now be confident that the training they receive from the companies listed on the Skills for Health website covers all relevant topics and modules needed as well as being high-quality and value for money.
