A new training course has been launched by The Eaton Foundation, a charity set up to help men suffering from mental health problems. The course, called Supporting Men with Mental Health Issues, will run on October 28th at The Spread Eagle, in Church Road, Rolleston from 10 am to 4pm.
The Eaton Foundation was created in memory of a local man, Neil Eaton who died last year after experiencing homelessness, mental health and addiction issues for several years.
Approximately one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem, while suicide rates are three times higher among men than women in the UK. The course hopes to give organisations the know-how to tackle these issues in men, enabling a higher quality of life and reducing the possibility of them considering taking their own life when things reach breaking point.
