Firms in South Norfolk are set to get a major boost to help improve their employees health, increasing productivity and reduce the potential of accidents in the workplace.
Norfolk County Council and South Norfolk Council have partnered with Active Norfolk, a Sport England organisation designed to help improve the take-up of sport and exercise in the county, to help improve health in local workplaces – creating happier and healthier employees. Last Friday, employees from the local area enjoyed free yoga sessions at the launch.
Yvonne Bendle, from South Norfolk Council, said: “It isn’t always easy to fit physical activity into our busy lives, and with many of us spending half of our day at work, and a lot of that time sitting in front of a computer, it makes sense to find opportunities to be more active during the day.”
