October 16th is European Restart a Heart Day, which aims to teach members of the public across Europe vital life saving skills. This is the second year the European Resuscitation Council has held European Restart a Heart Day and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The campaign revolves around four key principles: Call, Pump, Shock and Smile. Each step is listed on the day’s official website and are written in straightforward instructions, accompanied by illustrations.
There will be events held throughout the UK to celebrate the day, including an exciting Guinness World Record Attempt for the most people in a CPR relay, conferences, training and much more.
The hashtag #restartaheart will be used before, during and after the campaign and there will be lots of activity on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms, ensuring a great level of interaction.
